# Heists

**Heists are the main feature within Peel City and the only place you can earn $NANA token.** \

Users stake their NFTs at different Heist locations perpetually and must manage their Risk & Reward in search of the best Heist outcome.

Chimps must plan their exit to maximize their chances of success. While Gorillas wait for Chimps to slip up and make arrests.
> As a Chimp spends time on a Heist, their potential rewards and risk grow over time. Chimps can claim their heist any time after 4 hours. When they claim, different events can occur, depending on their Event Table chances.
**When a Chimp is arrested, a portion of the lost $NANA will be split with the Gorillas staked at that location.**
**Your Goal;** gather as many powerful [items](/the-heist/season-1-gameplay/robberies/items.md) as you can, & upgrade your NFT's [stats](/the-heist/season-1-gameplay/stats-skills-and-perks.md) to increase your chances of hitting positive events while on a Heist, to maximize your [$NANA](/the-heist/usdnana.md) emissions.
**Heist locations:**\
Peel City is home to multiple Heist locations, available to both Chimps and Gorillas. These locations vary in risk. Risk is determined by the chance of hitting positive events & negative events. Each location has a differing Event Table, with different % outcomes.
Each location emits **around 2 million $NANA per day.** This averages 1.6 million to Chimps & 400k to Gorillas, split relative to the number of users at the location. Get theorycrafting, degens..
